Engineering in the 21st century is no longer about whether or not we, as an engineering community, can solve the problems facing us. There are a multitude of tools by dozens of vendors that can perform the analysis we need and either design the structure or spit out results so that we can use other tools to finish the task. The trouble is getting the data output in a format that makes it actually usable for our own custom spreadsheets in an efficient manner that doesn’t break our budgets.

In the coming weeks I will have spreadsheets and Windows apps available to assist with moving engineering data from one form to another and aiding in the task of structural engineering by spreadsheet.

About Me

I started working as a Structural Engineer in 2006 and have been combining programming and engineering to create unique solutions to complicated numerical problems ever since.

I am a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of New Mexico.
